Built on the site where William Mulholland once lived in a cabin and taught himself to be a civil engineer, the Mulholland Fountain is one of the few Moderne fountains left in Los Angeles. With jets spraying 50 feet into the air, it is particularly spectacular at night.

One of the largest urban parks in North America, Griffith Park offers rugged natural areas with miles of hiking and equestrian trails, as well as golf courses, picnic grounds and tennis courts.

The history of railroad transportation in the western United States from 1880 to the 1930’s is the primary focus of the free Travel Town Museum where children of all ages enjoy the miniature train rides!

Unfortunately the Pony Rides are gone but the city is reimagining what the site will become!

Since opening in 1931, the historic Greek Theatre has played host to legendary performers including Aretha Franklin, Frank Sinatra and Sir Elton John.

Providing spectacular views of Los Angeles and hosting live shows in the planetarium, the Griffith Park Observatory is the most visited public observatory in the world.
